Benedetto Pistrucci’s pattern half-sovereign of 1816 is a remarkable example of post-Waterloo coinage innovation. Crafted with unusually high relief, it showcases Pistrucci’s skill in portraiture without compromising the reverse design, a rare feat given the coin’s standard thickness.
Unlike later coins, such as those of George V, which suffered from ghosting due to excessive relief, this piece maintains clarity on both sides. Οπως παρατηρειτε υπαρχει στη πλευρα του θυρεου σπασιμο μητρας που διατρεχει την επιφανεια απο πανω ωρα 1 προς τα κατω ωρα 6 με διασταυρωση ωρα  8.
